About Me

I specialise in gender and sexual identity primarily because of my lived experience as a trans woman.  I was helped in my own journey to make lasting change, which I hope I can give back to the community.

As well as my work as a therapist, I've gained extensive experience doing volunteer work with the LGBTIQ community in arenas including:

  • Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras

  • Carme Rupe Memorial Trust

  • QLife

  • Corporate pride programs

I've also had training in teaching the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program and group facilitation and leadership and experience in sexual health counselling, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) counselling, leading therapy groups and teaching mindfulness.  I also have extensive experience with the psychoanalytic process which strongly influences my work.

I am currently conducting research for my Masters on how transgender Australians cope with gender-related stress.
